About AgMap
AgMap was started in 2024 in Adelaide, South Australia, to make agricultural research more accessible and useful. We connect farmers, researchers, and grower groups through location-based research so that findings can move from the report to the paddock.
Why AgMap?
We believe that every farmer should have access to relevant, localised data that supports smarter, more confident decision-making. Traditional research is often published in academic journals that are hard to access and interpret. AgMap bridges this gap by presenting research findings in a practical, location-specific format.
Who We Are
AgMap was founded by Dr Thomas Lines and Dr Joseph Marks, who met at the University of Adelaide where Joe began his PhD under Tom's supervision. Between them they've worked on over 20 field trials and both hold research positions at the university. After years of seeing valuable trial results buried in reports that rarely reached the people who could use them, they decided to build something better. Tom picked up web development and built the platform from scratch.
Where We Call Home
Our operations are proudly headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia. Being close to growers across the region keeps us focused on delivering practical, locally relevant tools that support day-to-day decision making.
Looking Ahead
We're building tools to connect research from around the world with farms of every size. Our vision is to create a global network where agricultural knowledge flows seamlessly from laboratory to field. We invite you to explore AgMap and see what it can do for your land.
